The ICON Summer School on Constraint Programming and Data Mining is organized by the FP7-ICT FET Open project ICON “Inductive Constraint Programming”.
This is the first doctoral school ever on the intersection of two domains: data mining and machine learning on the one hand, and constraint programming on the other hand. In particular, the studies focus on how data mining techniques in constraint programming improve the formulation and solution of constraint satisfaction problems, but also on how to employ declarative constraint programming principles in data mining and machine learning.
The goals of the summer school include (a) promoting recent research results obtained in the joint field of Constraint Programming and Data Mining, and (b) developing contacts and collaboration among young researchers working on the field.
The school targets doctoral students and young postdocs as well as a small number of senior researchers working on machine learning, data mining, constraint programming, etc. During their stay, a limited number of up to 30 selected doctoral students and postdocs will receive intensive training in the above topics taught by well-known and expert tutors.
To benefit from optimal training conditions, the school is based on limited attendance. Please send your application form as soon as possible.
