Big Data For Smart Energy

You are here

The project has the objective of creating a framework to aggregate data collected by sensors deployed in a portion of a distribution grid. The system provides functionalities to model the topological properties of the distribution grid, to harmonize and integrate readings coming from the sensors, to store and query efficiently the data, to visualize with a clear interface the timeseries collected. The comprehensiong of the dynamics of electrical properties are exploited to study the impact of large diffusion of energy demand due to adoption of electric vehicles. We join the evidence emerging from mobility dynamics and behavior to investigate which daily activities are more compatible with the range constratints induced by electric enginges current technology.
