Schifani Claudio

Claudio Schifani was born in 1977 in Palermo. He holds a Laurea degree and a PhD in "Urban and Regional Planning" (both in 2002 and 2008 from the University of Palermo) and has received his Master Degree in Geographic Information System in 2003. From 2008 until 2010 he was a Post Doc researcher in the "New Technologies and Geographic Information" PhD of University of Venice. Right now he is a Post Doc researcher for a European Project about hydrological model and geographic information system for water resource managment. His current main research focus is about GeoWeb 2.0 for participatory planning, open source gis solution and geo web services based on Open Geospatial Consortium stardard. He served for several years as teacher and/or collaborator in courses on GIS for graduate and undergraduate students.
