Gurban Aliyev is a PhD student in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Pisa and a research associate at the Institute of Information Science and Technologies (ISTI-CNR), within the KDD Laboratory. His research interests include urban computing, human mobility analysis, air quality and emissions analytics, and data-driven methods for safer, cleaner transport systems.
He collaborates on projects that combine trajectory data, traffic information, and environmental sensing to study city-scale mobility patterns and to design exposure-aware routing strategies for pedestrians and vehicles. Recent results have been presented in venues such as MDM 2025 and SSTD 2025.
